Mo Chit Bus Terminal Bangkok

Mo Chit Bus Terminal is one of the biggest bus stations in Bangkok. It connects the northern, central, eastern and north-eastern provinces of the city, as well as linking the city to neighbouring countries.

Also known as the Northern Bus Terminal or Chatuchak, the Mo Chit Bus Terminal is primarily operated by the Government Transport Company as well as many different private bus companies. Not only can you take a bus to Thailand's provinces (Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Lampang, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai), you can also travel as far as Cambodia and Laos from this bus terminal.

Good to know about Mo Chit Bus Terminal

Tickets can be bought from the many ticket counters (over 50 for most provinces) across several floors within Mo Chit Bus Terminal. The station also has a food court so you can ensure you’re prepared for your long bus ride to your next destination. Do note that around Thai public holidays, seats must be reserved ahead of time as many locals return to their hometowns as part of a mass exodus from the capital.

The station is within a 5-minute taxi ride from Mo Chit BTS Skytrain Station. This means you also take a train from downtown Sukhumvit straight to the bus station for your overnight bus to the northern provinces of Thailand. Mo Chit Bus Terminal is around 4 km north of the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market.
