Each individual king did something great for Thailand, such as getting rid of slavery or inventing the Thai alphabet, that the army decided to make a statue for them. On the left side of the park, you will find a small museum where you can find all the kings details. This impressive landmark is definitely worth the visit and it does not have any entrance fee. Make sure that you are dressed properly, according to the Thai standards (no miniskirt or sleeveless shirts). In the near future, another statue will be added, namely the recently deceased Rama IX Bhumibol Adulyadej.
