Tower Club at Lebua Bangkok

There’s no better location to soak up Bangkok’s sprawling metropolis than from the Tower Club at Lebua. The real draw is the hotel’s lofty restaurants and bars, where endless views will familiarise you with the City of Angels in no time.

Style and Character

It’s all about pleasant, anonymous luxury in the lobby, corridors and guestrooms – perhaps a canny approach to steer guests to the outstanding and thoughtfully designed restaurant and bar offerings, which is where the hotel really comes into its own.

Service and Facilities

With an average of 2.25 staff members to each guestroom, service is attentive (without being intrusive) and is genuinely friendly and warm. If the sight of someone pounding on the treadmill while you attempt to sunbathe by the adjacent open-air pool is too guilt inducing, then head inside to the spa where the therapists have been trained by Bangkok’s popular Nicolie wellness brand.

Rooms

An all-suite hotel, the 221 rooms are generous in size, each with a living area; ample bathrooms with separate walk-in showers; a kitchenette with a complimentary non-alcoholic minibar and Nespresso coffee machines; and balconies with soaring city or river views. Guests in the two or three-bedroom suites have the option of meals cooked in-room by the chefs from The Dome's restaurants and bars, as well as a substantial pillow menu, making it an easy decision to linger in bed and soak up the cityscape.

Food and Drink

The Dome is the reason why visitors flock to Lebua. Located on the 64th floor of the building, it houses the world’s highest al fresco restaurant, champagne bar and whiskey bar among its growing collection, and is hands down the best spot in Bangkok to indulge in a pre-prandial cocktail while watching the sun set over far reaching views of the city. Chef Ryuki Kawasaki’s expertly prepared dishes – such as the soy-glazed snapper served with foie gras in smoke consommé – at Mezzaluna is a particular treat.

Guests staying at Tower Club at Lebua have complimentary access to the more intimate Tower Club Lounge on the 52nd floor, where food and drinks are served throughout the day. For the full shebang, try the impressive breakfast spread at Café Mozu.

Value for Money

All guest floors and restaurants have lift access and eight suites are specially equipped for guests with disabilities.

Family-Friendly?

The two or three-bedroom suites are best suited for families, while some also have interconnecting doors. The room service menu has a children’s section and children’s bath amenities are available on request.

Location

Tower Club at Lebua can be found between the 51st and the 59th floors of State Tower – Thailand’s third tallest building – on the eastern side of the meandering Chao Phraya River in the Bang Rak business district. The hotel provides a tuk-tuk shuttle service to whiz you to the nearby Saphan Taksin BTS skytrain station or Sathorn Pier, both about a mile (2km) away, making Bangkok’s best sites – such as Jim Thompson House or The Grand Palace – easily accessible.
