The famous elephant battle between King Naresuan the Great and Crown Prince of Burma was held here and the victory freed Thai from Burma. The area used to be residential farm land before many antiques were discovered and identified as weapons and other war equipment. For instance, ancient bullets, war horse's badges and war horse's and war elephant's accessories etc. Then, the place began to be noticed. In addition, there is an ancient chedi from Ayutthaya period that looks like stupa. It is believed that this stupa was made for the body of Crown Prince of Burma. A skeleton was found inside the old chedi.
