Tuk Tuk
Coming to Ayutthaya, one must take a frog-headed tuk tuk (Tuk Tuk Hua Kop). Not only do tourists use these tuk tuks but the locals also use them as a common transportation mean. Around Ayutthaya City, many of these tuk tuks like you can see many taxis in Bangkok.
Frog-headed tuk tuks can be found everywhere but main service centers of tuk tuks for tourists are train station and important archaic sites. Since they are automobiles, tuk tuks can take you to more places than tricycles. You can even go to places outside the city island such as Chai Watthanaram Temple, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon Temple, Phanan Choeng Temple without any problem.
The service fees depend on the distance, but you can charter a tuk tuk to take you anywhere for 200 – 300 baht per hour. You might as well hire a tuk tuk for the whole day. The fee for the whole day service should not exceed 1,000 baht per tuk tuk.
