Cadillac Café & Bar, Wave Hotel Pattaya

The newspaper-styled menu succeeds in recreating the international flavours of the famously-diverse Florida city, with Mexican influences like nachos and quesadillas alongside traditional American favourites like corn on the cob and barbecue spare ribs. Miami’s famous seafood is represented and some Thai favourites also make the cut, including massaman curry and Phad Thai. The Cadillac Café & Bar signature dish is a meeting of Japanese and American food in the form of the mighty Wave Burger, made with wagyu beef.



From the breakfast menu (available from 07:00 to 11:00) the toasted muffins with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce is particularly special. The unexpected combination of tastes and textures makes the first bite a surprise and every subsequent one a delight. This can be accompanied by a good selection of teas, coffees and other beverages.

Meals can be enjoyed either in the air-conditioned indoor seating or on the outdoor patio by the period vehicle which gives the Cadillac Café & Bar its name. The first option has a refined feeling to it while still being idiosyncratic and fun. The sofa seating down one wall has an almost unbelievable amount of padding and cushions, making it an extremely comfortable option, while the bicycle hanging off the wall above it manages to not seem out of place amongst the haute cuisine and silver service. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the view out across Beach Road is good, but the outdoor seating allows you to better enjoy it and also gives you the pleasure of the on-shore breeze.



The bar associated with the Cadillac Café shares the air of sophistication which permeates the entire hotel. As contrary as it may seem, it is an easy-going sophistication which suits the Miami style very well, making it equally possible to chill out with a beer or a colourful cocktail, with easy-listening jazz music playing in the background and a selection of Cuban cigars available to complete the effect.

With polite and attentive service, reasonable prices for quality food and drinks, and a cool atmosphere, the Cadillac Café & Bar is equally popular for a funky breakfast, a filling lunch and a romantic dinner and drinks.
